Tours & Activities in Korcula Island

We like to keep our tours personal and small. Max. person per tour is 8 so that we can completely adjust to our guests needs. We will take you to little island Vrnik where we will explore old quarries and a small village on the Island. We will visit Badija Island famous for its monastery and beautiful calm deers walking around. We will adjust the tour regarding group preferences and abilities to paddle. You will get to try famous homemade Grk wine and traditional homemade cakes Klašuni.

Setting off from Korcula you’ll pass by beautiful countryside, vineyards & olive groves whilst enjoying fantastic views of the village, archipelago and the Peljesac channel. During a couple of rest stops (make sure you bring water) we will share with you local knowledge about the area and answer any of your questions. Towards the end of the bike ride, you’ll head to two family-run wineries to refresh & reward yourself with delicious wine grown in the area. This includes tastings of Grk, a unique and flavoursome white wine originating from Lumbarda village. Traditional appetisers will be served at one winery to accompany your wine tasting. Once joyfully filled with wine and snacks it will be time to head back to Korcula Town. And relax at ease, we will provide a transfer for you and your bike – so no need to worry about cycling back after a few drinks. NOTE: Please read the health restrictions about the difficulty of the bike ride, to be sure you will be comfortable to join.

After a scenic 15 minute transfer from Korcula Town, you will be in the delightful village of Lumbarda. You’ll head off for a gentle walk through the Lumbarda countryside and vineyards. Stop to take memorable photos whilst we share with you stories about island life and what makes the local wines so special! You’ll end the walk at two of our favourite wineries to taste wines from the region including the uniquely delicious Grk wine. Feast upon a platter of traditional appetisers at the first winery and a home-made local specialty pasta dinner at the second winery. To cap off the evening, you’ll either head to the small port for a peaceful boat trip back to Korcula, sipping on sparkling wine or to the local beach bar where you can enjoy your favourite tipple (before we transfer you back to Korcula Town). NOTE: The end activity depends upon availability and the number of people on the tour. We can not guarantee which option will be provided on the day of the tour.

There’s something so magical about cruising around the archipelago, swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the sea surrounded by natural beauty, before being served a scrumptious meal: grilled fish, vegetables, salad and my own home-made wine. I will be your driver, cook and guide.

This is not just a regular kayaking tour! You will enjoy it while your guide is taking you through the history of the land while visiting limestone quarries and 14th-century monasteries while watching the wild deers roaming around you! And on top of it all, you will enjoy the Sunset on a small Island while drinking special Grk wine and eating cakes...

Enjoy a scenic cycle ride through Korcula’s beautiful countryside to visit local producers & give your tastebuds a fantastic treat. Heading away from Korcula Town towards Lumbarda by bike, your first stop comes after no more than 15 minutes. You will meet one of the region’s top honey producers and learn how honey gets from the beehives to the jars, followed by honey tasting. Back on your bike, you will take to picturesque country trails passing olive groves and vineyards before finding yourself at a top Grk producing winery. Take a seat and enjoy several island produced wines, accompanied by delicious, regional snacks. Your final stop is a short pedal away and takes you to the home of our friend Ivan. Here you will see where their fruits are grown before trying their award-winning jam selection, along with homemade liquors, wine, sweet treats and olive oil. This taste extravaganza is topped off with pancakes filled with jam, before you will be transferred back to Korcula by van.

Join us as we head to the village of Lumbarda to sample some of Korcula’s tastiest highlights, including stops at three family-run productions. Just a short trip from Korcula and you will arrive at our first stop on the tour, one of the region’s top honey and gin producers. Here you will learn the process, and get to try to the products. You’ll continue to Lumbarda to enjoy one of Korcula’s most famous products, its wine, at a family run winery. Your tasting includes the acclaimed and little known white wine, Grk. All wines are paired with tasty regional snacks. Leaving the winery, you will take a short 10-15 minute scenic walk before arriving at the final destination to sweeten up your taste-buds. At the home of the jovial Ivan, you will taste an array of delicious homemade products - olive oil, preserves, sweet treats, rakija (brandy), domestic wine and to top the tour off, pancakes (crepe-style) with jam. After we bid our new friends farewell, you’ll return back to Korcula.

You will explore the east side of the island and its finest parts starting from the unique medieval town of Korcula. The tour has been designed to enjoy its every little moment while evoking the spirits of ancient and nearly forgotten times blended with a feeling of the Mediterranean serenity and lifestyle. Having ridden through the lovely countryside of scenic landscapes and views to the mountain of Saint Ilija you will arrive to the spread out village of Lumbarda boasting wonderful sandy beaches, magical vineyards of indigenous Grk vines, as well as wine-making tradition ever since the Illyrians inhabiting the area long before the Greeks came to colonize it.

The tour through the Old Town of Korčula is an ideal opportunity to meet rich and interesting history of this unique Adriatic town. It has one of the oldest city statutes in this part of Europe, stemming from 1214. It has the oulay that reminds of a fish bone. Korčula, proud of its St Mark s cathedral , has for many years been the bishop s residence. However, it is most famous as a hometown of a seaman Marko Polo. Discover the spells of the island of Korčula, one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic. Our excursion starts at the view point of Korčula, where you can take a couple of photos. The first vinyards we are going to visit are situated in Lumbarda and are famous for Grk. It is not known whether the name derives from the bitter taste or the old Greeks who settled Lumbarda in the fourth and the third century before Christ bringing their own wine sort. You will have the opportunity to taste Grk at a local winery. Then we drive through the interior of the island, passing the villages of Žrnovo and Pupnat on our way to Pupnatska Luka ( The Bay of Pupnat), We continue our trip towards Čara and Smokvica, where you will be able to see vineyards. After the tour through the fields you will get the chance to try Pošip and other wines On our way to Korčula we will drive along the north-west coast of the island passing a couple of fantastic view points ..

The old heart of the town has been fascinating for a large number of tourists. At the end, we hope you are going to be one happy diner in love with Korcula. Before dinner, a local guide will take you for a 1h -1h15min walking tour inside the ancient town walls of Korcula. A short visit to Korcula Town Museum, where a traditional kitchen is completely preserved, will take you to the old times and give you a deeper understanding of local history and culture. Just when you start to feel like eating something, a walking tour will take you to Restaurant Filippi 😉

Our first stop is at the region’s top honey producers where you will learn about honey production and taste their delicious honey. Back on your bike, you will continue the cycle ride passing through beautiful countryside, whilst enjoying fantastic views. During a couple of rest stops (make sure you bring water) we will share with you local knowledge about the area. After taking in the scenic local area during the bike ride, you will arrive at a rural location for the cooking workshop. During the workshop you will have fun preparing and baking your own traditional, sweet cookies whilst hearing local stories. The sweet treats you will be making are called Klasuni - a little ball of pastry joy filled with a delicious sweet mix. Once the workshop is complete and you have sampled your delicious treats, it will be time to head back to Korcula Town. Hop back on your bikes and we’ll follow the most direct route back to Korcula town in no more than 25 minutes.

This tour is a mix of walking in the countryside and a morning routine in a little Mediterranean town. We will enjoy the views of Korčula from east and west and walk in nature where scents and sounds tell the story of an island named after its forests. On our route we will stop at a few places hidden from the usual tourist paths and you'll hear about local culture, history and customs. In fact, you 'll be one of 1% percent of visitors who will have seen some of them. A short visit to the fish and green market will give you a better idea about what we locals eat. Towards the end of the tour, we will buy a few home- made traditional cookies and have a cup of coffee at my favorite café. Having time to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends every day is a privilege of life in a small town. Grk is an autochthonous Croatian grape sort out of which white wine of the same name is produced. It is grown mainly on the central Lumbardan field on the area of some 40 hectares. Sandy soil contributes to its quality. Grk is a female wine sort so it is always planted with the male "Plavac" to enable pollination. It is not known whether the name derives from the bitter taste or the old Greeks who settled Lumbarda in the fourth and the third century before Christ bringing their own wine sort. We will take you through Lumbardan vineyards making a couple of stops at interesting viewpoints and winey where you will have the chance to try Grk. It is golden with a special nuance of green. Trust me, this is a unique opportunity to try the wine you can hardly get anywhere else!
