Tours & activities in Alberobello

The excursion to Alberobello includes a visit to the two districts of the trulli: Aia Piccola and Rione Monti. You will enter a rustic, private trullo, where you will see the structure of the trullo from inside. We will visit the unique church in the world in the shape of a trullo - church of Sant'Antonio and, also, take a walk among the souvenir shops.
On request it is possible to organize a tasting of wines and typical Apulian products in the trullo.
Alberobello is located in Puglia, 1 hour from Bari. It is a city famous for its trullo-shaped houses. Since 1996 it has been a UNESCO heritage site and a place that impresses all visitors.
The trullo is a square-shaped building with a cone-shaped roof. Built without the enamel to be quickly destroyed in case of need. It was enough to throw a stone that made the house collapse like a house of cards.
The push to build the houses in the form of a trullo was given by the count of the family of Acquaviva d'Aragona. During their power over the Apulian lands it was both good and bad accounts who treated their peasants badly.
During the excursion you will hear the story of the foundation of the trulli town, the life of the peasants and the counts, the stories of love and revenge, duels and conspiracies, legends and curiosities related to the city.
You will see the structure and the stone that is pulled out to destroy the trullo and you will discover the secrets of the construction of the structure, which without any malt manages to get to the present day.
