Upon your arrival we will deliver you the picnic basket, made especially for you, and then we will accompany you in the olive grove where you will find a blanket to relax in the shade of an olive tree and enjoy the view over the hills of Montepulciano, immersed in a breathtaking panorama. The olive trees, a blanket, a basket full of delicacies, a bottle of wine, two glasses to toast the landscape of Montepulciano before your eyes. You can enjoy an agri-menu consisting of traditional dishes prepared with our organic products and other local quality products. The natural setting among the olive trees, and the appointments thought out down to the smallest detail, will top off this nice experience satisfying both your palate and sight!

The tour begins with a visit to the winery, fermentation, aging and barrels cellar and then we will accompany you on a guided tour through our vine rows, to discover the place where our wines originate, after which you can spend the tasting in complete privacy. You will be given a delicious basket and you will be assigned a position among the rows of the vineyard where you can sit or lay down. In the picnic basket you will find delicious local food and o a bottle of Podere Casanova wine and its glasses, o plates and cutlery, o cold cuts and cheeses, o bread and focaccia, o seasonal vegetables, o "grandmother's" cakes.

The Montepulciano tour will allow you to discover one of the most fascinating towns of the area, the so-called “Renaissance pearl” sheltered inside Medieval city walls. During our tour, we will climb through the town, following the winding main street, thereby admiring Montepulciano's wonderful palaces and churches along the way. We will learn about its traditions … for example:– did you know that once a year they have a barrel-pushing competition? When we reach the summit of the town, we will find ourselves in the magical Piazza Grande, where we will be able to visit the never-finished Cathedral, the Fortress, and enjoy a wonderful view over the Val di Chiana and part of the Val d'Orcia. Last but not least, our tour will take us underground to visit one of the ancient wineries of the town, and taste a glass of Nobile wine. Through the colors, scents and sounds of the untouched nature, we will reach the olive groves area where you’ll enjoy an intimate time for tasting, which will take you to savor a 4-course menu matched with our wines. You will be trained to exercise your sense of smell and taste, in order to better perceive the flavors and characteristics of our products.

The course includes the preparation of 4 typical recipes. We start our experience preparing the special sauce of Crostino Toscano, traditional appetizer. Then we’ll make handmade pasta: Pici, real treasure of south Tuscany. For the sauce we’ll prepare the typical Aglione, which is a tomato sauce made with a special giant garlic of the area. As dessert we’ll prepare Cantucci, traditional cookies of Valdichiana. They are very good dipped in Vin Santo, special sweet wine of our region.
