After reaching the summit, you'll hike across the plateau and descend through a canyon on nomad trails, passing local nomadic people tending their goat herds high on the rocky terrain. Spend a day getting off the tourist trail (and road). On this day-long adventure, you'll travel by Land Rover from the stunning Todgha Gorge to the Dades Valley, traversing a 4-wheel-drive track high in the mountains. Along the way, gain spectacular vistas of the High Atlas Mountains and catch a glimpse of nomadic mountain life. We'll stop for lunch in the city of Msemrir. On the return, we'll explore the Dades Valley and see the iconic and strange geographical formation called the "Monkey Fingers". The day will end back at Todgha Gorge.

Experience the Erg Chebbi sand dunes like few people ever get to. On this 1 night bivouac trip, you'll leave the tourist-clogged dunes behind and traverse the entire sea of sand (3 hours) by foot or by riding the dromedary. Your destination is a nomad camp on the far side of the dunes, on the edge of the black desert. Here you'll enjoy complete stillness and a night sky filled with stars. In the morning, wake up early to watch the real sunrise -- a spectacular event you'll likely never see again. Here, on the edge of this perfectly flat desert, you'll see the red morning sun rising into a black sky! Take a break from the tourist trail and discover a more authentic Morocco on an overnight adventure into the High Atlas Mountains. On this beautiful two-day loop hike, you'll start in the midst of the Todra Gorge before walking high above the gorge onto the plateau beyond. You'll be travelling on paths worn into the rock by nomadic goat herders, who've been walking these same routes for millennia. You'll stop for the night in a nomadic encampment, where you'll be welcomed by a family for an intimate glimpse of nomadic life that few other tourists get to see. This two-day hike includes accommodation in a nomad camp, all meals, and an experienced guide. Please note that accommodation in nomad camps is very basic and rustic. We suggest packing a sleeping bag and thermarest mattress (which are available for rent at our shop).

For a truly nomadic experience, don your rucksack and strike off on this 3-day hiking adventure. You'll start in Tizgui village at the entrance of Todgha Gorge. With a mule to carry supplies and a local guide at your side, you'll spend 3 days hiking across the high plateau, stopping for two nights in nomad camps to sleep beneath vast stars and discovering how nomadic shepherds have lived for thousands of years. Your destination is Msemrir, in the Dades Valley, where we'll pick you up in a Land Rover for our return to Todgha Gorge. Includes: -3-day guided hike from Todgha Gorge to Msemrir - 2 nights accommodation in nomad camps - Mule for luggage transport - Transportation from Msemrir back to Todgha Gorge (with stop in Dades Valley) - 1 night accommodation in Todgha Gorge at our guest house, A Secret Garden - Breakfasts and dinners *Please note that accommodation in nomad camps is very basic.
