Join our free tour and discover the story of Bratislava from the beginning to the end throught the centuries, from the Slovak point of view. Starting from antiquity and the Middle Ages, passing through the splendor of the great Habsburg Empire and ending in the turbulent years of the 20th century with its modern history.
We will tell you about the history of this city in such an easy way that you will be able to narrate it like an expert when you return home.
On this tour you will explore the alternative, not so nice, history of Slovakia and Bratislava. During 50 years of the 20th century, we were a dictatorship. During the 2nd world war, the country of Slovakia was on the side of the axis, and after the war we became the eastern block, however both regimes hurt many people. We will visit the monuments, squares (Stalin Square, Gottwald Square), unique buildings (upside down pyramid), last standing synagogue and many more. (There is some reconstruction near the sites we visit, please keep this in mind)

This tip-based 2.5-hour walking city tour will show you all the top attractions in the historic city center of Bratislava.
The guided tour starts at Rybné námestie next to the hotel Park Inn and it ends at Bratislava Castle. After the tour, you can join me and we can go to the city center together. 🙂

The official end of the tour is at Bratislava Castle, but you can join me, and we will return together to the Old Town. The very end of the tour is in front of St. Martin Cathedral on Rudnay Square.

A big part of the tour is suitable for pets, BUT dogs are not allowed to enter the gardens of Bratislava Castle. 🙁

We will visit the courtyard of the Old Town Hall, the Primates Palace, Blue Church talk about the Gates of Bratislava and much more. If the weather permits, we walk to the Old Bridge and have the most unique skyline view of Bratislava - UFO Bridge, Church Towers and Bratislava Castle all at once.
This tour serves our visitors as a follow-up on the City & Castle tour, where we discuss the basics about Bratislava and Slovakia. We will discuss the importance of Bratislava and the transformation from a medieval to a modern city. The entire tour is without stairs, it is stroller, children and also dog friendly.
We especially recommend this tour if you have already been to the castle and would like to have a calm stroll around town, perhaps taking a coffee and taking the nicest pictures, whilst learning about what makes our lovely city special.

We'll meet right in the center at Hurbanovo namestie in front of the church with stairs.
After introduction, we’ll hit up the streets of Bratislava, hopping on different themed pubs, tasting different kinds of beer, or wine and of course some shots (depending on your choice from options). You will be able upon request at some places also taste some of our traditional Slovak food bites/snacks that go very well with the drinks. Please note, that this is not an official dinner, but bites only. I am happy to explain to you more about our culture, traditions, must-sees, and dos in Bratislava, and of course our traditional drinks as well. It's more of knowing Bratislava while tasting its bites and drinks 🙂
The pubs and bars we'll be visiting are different themed, so you will enjoy a different experience with every pub we visit. Actually, some of them are most favourite among Slovaks, and I am confident you will enjoy them as well. Most importantly, I can assure you no rushing, we'll take our time at each stop, you will have time to snap some memorable photos if you want to, so we get the best of it all, and you end your tour with a unique Slovak experience.
