Monterey Bay is one of the greatest places in the world to find whales and with the added bonus of a sunset viewing in the summer/fall months, you can't go wrong! Each tour is narrated by a Naturalist/Marine Biologist onboard who can find the wildlife, tell you fascinating facts about the animals, and answer all of your questions! This self-guided, self-paced audio walking tour explores Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey California. It includes the Portola Plaza & Hotel, Custom House Plaza & Museum, the Pacific House Museum & gardens, and more. During this tour, we will explore the Monterey's Fisherman’s Wharf and fishing industry history. You will be able to explore three museums in the Monterey State Historic Park. James House now owned by actor Brad Pitt, cross the iconic Bixby Bridge, pass by the prominent volcanic rock home of the Point Sur Light Station to the Big Sur River Inn and the famous Nepenthe Restaurant before we stop at the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. All stops, visits to state parks and subsequent hikes are optional and parking fees for state parks are not included in the price of this tour.
