At the appointed time, we will meet in the Puerta de Tierra Park in Garachico to begin a walking tour of the historic center of this beautiful town in northern Tenerife . Are you ready to discover the island's former commercial capital ?
We'll begin our stroll through the cobbled streets of Garachico while revealing truly surprising facts about this town's past. We'll tell you about the importance of its port back in the 16th century, recall how the eruption of the Trevejos volcano affected its people, and discover why this town has been a source of inspiration for numerous poets .
We will walk through the historic center, declared a Site of Tourist Interest for its rich heritage, admiring old stately homes and emblematic buildings such as the Castle of San Miguel , the church of Santa Ana or the convent of Santo Domingo .
