Tower House Tour - I live in a 16th-century tower house, built on the ruins of a medieval tower, which has been in our family for many generations. I love my city, especially its historic center and its villages. Growing up here, I discovered its uniqueness and the ancient stories that remain alive and present, even if hidden within the walls of the buildings and in the side streets. These are magical little corners of the old city that are too often overlooked by visitors. Our tower house also preserves many of these, but only by entering with me can you discover them. I'm always happy to share our story with anyone curious to learn more. We'll start from the tower house's entrance on the ground floor and ascend the stairs of the sundial tower, gradually discovering the evolution of the building over the centuries, as well as the city of Bergamo itself. We'll enter the top two floors, furnished with furniture and furnishings from the various eras that shaped the lives of those who lived there. You'll then reach the top of the tower, but beware... there's no elevator. You'll feel like you're reliving times gone by, surrounded by family objects and heirlooms, an experience that will make you love our beautiful city and its most secret features even more. Finally, from the top-floor windows, you'll enjoy a sweeping view over the rooftops, the Lower Town below, and the outline of the Orobic Prealps. From December 8th until Epiphany, you can also see our large nativity scene, which, as per family tradition, we prepare every year with antique figurines from Veneto, Bergamo, Naples, and many others . All participants will receive a complimentary Ospitality map of the Upper Town. The tour does NOT include a visit to the historic center.
