I have lived in Puerto de Santa Maria since I was 3 years old and I have seen him grow up, I have seen him from top to bottom, his curiosities, his experiences, etc. so go ahead and let me show you!
We would start the tour knowing the Plaza de Toros, Colegio de los Jesuitas (wonderful entrance to what was once an old convent and its parish), 7 corners winery (one of the few small wineries where today it is sold wine in bulk), the Osborne winery (a world-renowned wine-making enclave), Plaza del Polvorista (its palaces and its history), Plaza del Castillo San Marcos (castle ordered to be built by Alonso X to protect an old Mosque inside), street Santo Domingo (palaces, house where Rafael Alberti lived , and a former convent), Plaza de España (location of our minor basilica), Plaza de Abastos (meat, fruit, etc.), Plaza Peral (our town hall ), hidden port (first bar where our best-known sea chef Ángel Leon started), Plaza de la Herrería (who does not know Romerijo and where it started from), Calle Misericordia (where to drink, eat, good atmosphere, etc ...) and finally Plaza of the Royal Galleries.
