A whole walk through the history of Córdoba where you will learn about its influence on universal history through the characters that we will meet during this fun visit. We begin our visit in the central Plaza de las Tendillas, where our guide will welcome you and give a brief introduction to what we're about to discover.
From here, we begin a walking tour of some of Córdoba's most iconic and historic spots:
We make our first stop at the Cristo de los Faroles, one of the city's most beloved icons, located in the mystical Plaza de los Capuchinos.
We continue towards the imposing Roman Temple, whose remains next to the Town Hall speak to us of the splendor of Roman Córdoba.
We then headed to Plaza de la Corredera, the only Castilian-style main square in Andalusia, perfect for experiencing the city's popular pulse.
Nearby is the Plaza del Potro, home to flamenco and literary art, and the Museum of Fine Arts and the Julio Romero de Torres Museum.
From there, we'll head into Córdoba's Jewish Quarter, one of the city's most iconic and visited historic neighborhoods. In this labyrinth of narrow streets, steeped in history and charm, we'll discover:
The Calleja del Pañuelo, one of the narrowest and most curious corners of Córdoba.
Hoguera Street, where we'll travel back to the Islamic past and learn about the urban planning of the medieval city.
We end the tour at the Puerta del Puente, at the foot of the Mosque-Cathedral and next to the Guadalquivir River. This ancient monumental gateway connects us with the history of Caliphate Córdoba and invites you to continue exploring the city with a fresh perspective, now filled with context, secrets, and beauty.
