We'll leave at 8:00 am from the main hotels in Barreirinhas aboard a 4×4 vehicle bound for Canto do Atins. The estimated time of arrival is 1h30 on a route composed mainly of trails. Atins forms beautiful landscapes and we will walk there in search of the lagoons formed by rainwater. We will have the opportunity to dive in its waters and take beautiful pictures. Then we will stop for lunch, to see the most famous fish and shrimp in Maranhão (lunch is not included). After lunch, we will have a well-deserved rest in a hammock before returning to Barreirinhas, where we are scheduled to arrive at 5:00 pm.

The circuit of the Blue Lagoon is among the most famous of the Maranhenses Lençóis. The tour departs from Barreirinhas and has a half-day duration. The most common itinerary includes a visit to Lagoa da Preguiça, Lagoa da Esmeralda, Lagoa da Paz, Lagoa do Peixe and, as it could not be missed, the Lagoa Azul. Leaving the iconic lighthouse, we head towards our last stop, the community of Caburé. This small village is divided by the waters of the river and the sea, which is a perfect option for those who want to swim and cool off.

The journey to this small town takes around 1 hour, but this time is compensated by the fun we will have when we arrive at the destination. Once we arrived in Cardosa, we soon got ready to start an incredible experience. With the help of buoys, we are going to float on the Formiga River! The river has a very weak current that takes us downstream. The journey lasts around 50 minutes and is very interesting as it gives the visitor the feeling that they are part of the river! There are guides to help throughout the process, but the ride is risk-free and is recommended for all ages, as the current is really calm. A great opportunity to observe the rich vegetation around the river in a very different and pleasant way. After the descent, we return to Barreirinhas.
