Get to know Chile's nature, one step away from Santiago!
When you book this tour, you will visit the Quebrada de Macul, a natural park where you can learn about Chile's flora and fauna.
This excursion will take you deep into the mountains, an experience you will certainly not forget.
We will meet at the entrance of the natural park and enter the Quebrada de Macul. We begin the ascent through a small valley, through a forest, with beautiful views. We will try to reach the bottom of the ravine, where there are two small waterfalls. Finally, we start the return to the park entrance, passing along the banks of the stream that flows through the creek.
The hike is 8 km (5 miles), round trip.
It is a hike of moderate difficulty, designed for people who enjoy hiking and nature. It is recommended to wear appropriate footwear for walking on rocky terrain. We also recommend carrying a backpack with water, a snack, sun protection and protection against the cold, depending on the season.
We finish the tour at the starting point, that is, at the entrance of the Quebrada de Macul Natural Park, around 2:00 pm.

Hello friends!
I imagine that they are eager to get to know our city through the footprints and landmarks displayed in the historic center of Santiago. But apart from the progress that this metropolis has presented from the pre-Hispanic stage onwards to become what you can see today, there is a part of that story, not always graceful, that constitutes part of our identity as a country. It is about our historical memory , an indispensable piece in the development of any democracy.
Making these episodes visible is a task for all of us who participate in the education and promotion of spaces of awareness that promote a "Never Again." Therefore, 50 years after that dark period, I invite you to learn about the main events, places and key people located in that same historic center, with a different approach, which will allow you to better understand the reasons for the current polarization and division. politics in our country.
We will visit spaces such as:
- The exterior of La Moneda, the Plaza de la Constitución and its surroundings
- commemorative plaques of executed politicians
- the exterior of 3 detention and punishment centers
- a space of resistance like the Vicariate of Solidarity
This is a special trip, a unique experience of understanding, empathy and solidarity where for a few hours you will be able to put yourself in the shoes of the Chileans and see through their eyes.
This free tour aims to view the city of Santiago from above and from this angle understand how the city has been constituted since its beginnings, and the landscape transformations that have been part of its history. Additionally, we will learn about the importance of Cerro San Cristóbal and its transformation into the largest urban park in South America and the 4th largest worldwide.
This space is ideal for learning more about Chilean flora and fauna and about the cultural manifestations celebrated from this point where the Andes mountain range can be seen in all its splendor.
Moreover, it is a suitable space to "leave the city without leaving the city" and walk along trails surrounded by nature.
During the guided visit, we will make the following stops/visits:
- Metropolitan Park of Santiago (entrance via Pionono Avenue, Bellavista-meeting point),
- Funicular
- Summit Plaza
- Virgin of the Assumption Trail (summit)
- House of Spiders
- Summit Casino
- Manuel Foster Observatory
- Tupahue Pool + Tupahue mural
- Victoria Tower
- Mountain Range Viewpoint
- Gabriela Mistral Plaza
- Mapulemu Garden
- Oasis Station-Cable Car (access to the park via Pedro de Valdivia)
Considerations/Recommendations:
- Book at least one day in advance
- A minimum of two people is required to conduct the tour. If only one person is registered, it can be done as a private tour at an additional cost.
- On Mondays, the funicular and cable car do not operate, so there is the option of walking up or taking a panoramic bus.
- The walk is 2:30 hours
- Bring cash in local currency or a card for the funicular ticket payment!
- Bring water for the trip.
- A hat and/or sunscreen is essential
- Confirm attendance via text message, making a reservation alone is not valid
- Come prepared to have fun and walk surrounded by nature!

The capital of Chile can be an exciting place. Behind the crowded streets and the hustle and bustle of big cities, many incredible stories and beautiful places are hidden.
The tour begins at the historic Plaza de Armas, where Pedro de Valdivia chose the site for the first residences of the city that in 1541 would be called Santiago del Nuevo Extremo. We will cross Compañía Street, where we can see various important buildings for the history of Santiago: the Pre-Columbian Museum, the Supreme Court of Justice, and the former National Congress.
We will approach the Alameda de las Delicias via the Bandera promenade, from which we will appreciate the neoclassical beauty of the Santiago Stock Exchange, while we see the Central House of the University of Chile, the first and main state university. Founded in 1842 and the direct heir of the Royal University of San Felipe, it was a pioneer in the development of national intellectuality and the alma mater of 20 presidents of the Republic.
Continuing along the Alameda to the west, we will also appreciate the La Moneda house, the seat of the Government of Chile, the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs, and the immense Plaza de la Constitución and its colossal tricolor flag, which will help us better understand the political history of Chile and the developments of the last 50 years in our country.
After this, we will head a few blocks west along the Huérfanos promenade, and we will immerse ourselves in the daily life of Santiago's residents and the old banking or administrative buildings located here. Finally, we will return to the Plaza de Armas to end the tour.
This tour, more than just a stroll through a capital, is offered as an experience. TWe will have the opportunity to get to know the most important and significant places in Santiago in a short period of time and see how its inhabitants move freely through them.
We will learn history in an entertaining way and sneak into the daily life of the city while we get to know its most impressive and representative places.
