"Santa Marta" , the oldest city in Colombia, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, brimming with history and amazing adventures since its founding!!..... will captivate you!
I'll tell you about the magic and mysticism of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and its surrounding attractions: the Lost City and Tairona National Natural Park. On this free tour, you'll learn much more about their ancient history and attractions.
This doubly holy city, known as "the faithful and hospitable" and "the tourist pearl of America," possesses "the magic of having it all"!
The historic center of Santa Marta, declared a national monument in 1959 and a National Cultural Heritage Site in 1997, was recovered in a first phase by the national and local government in 2010, and comprises 8 sectors.
Our adventure begins at the Tairona Gold Museum, Customs House.
In the Parque de Bolívar area, you'll discover the rich history of its monuments and ancient houses, built in the finest European style. You'll be impressed by its imposing architecture that has endured through the centuries.
Pirate attacks destroyed the first churches. Therefore, in the cathedral square, you'll notice the contrast in the architectural styles of the buildings. In this area, the robust feat of religious engineering, built in the mid-18th century, remains standing. The stories about its construction and maintenance over time will amaze you.
Ah, in the Parque de Los Novios area, you'll find gastronomy and nightlife alongside the area's history. This meeting place is very popular with both visitors and locals for a good time. You'll learn about its beginnings and how it became an unmissable attraction when you're in Santa Marta. I'll give you some tips on food (you'll find the best seafood in this area) and places to have fun.
If you haven't spent a night staying or attended gala or popular dances and parties in houses built more than 400 years ago, you can do so in the renovated historic center of Santa Marta.
Walking along the Malecon Sector in the Bay, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Marina and port sectors.
Likewise, around the bay's boardwalk you will find various shops for buying local and national indigenous handicrafts, with different indigenous manufactures.
How about a photo with the fishermen in the port area, or a romantic sunset shot framed next to the islet "El Morro" located just 2500 meters from the bay.
The International Marina, a display of luxury and fun.
This Free Tour allows me to offer you the history of the city, without delays or subterfuge, told from an impartial, raw and stark perspective, without embellishments, of course, within due respect, so I will take you where others do not and tell you about things that others prefer to avoid.
