Things to Do in Viñales

If you are a cigar lover and like tobacco, you can't miss this free tour.
Join me for approximately 1 hour, in which we will go a little away from the center of town to be in direct contact with nature. Depending on the season , we will be able to observe the tobacco plantations, we will visit the house where the tobacco leaves are dried, we will learn how to make a “Cuban cigar” and we will have a unique opportunity to smoke a “traditional cigar” directly made by the farmer. .
Additionally, if you wish you can buy the cigars that are made by the farmer to take as a gift and to help the farmer's family.
During this tour we will learn everything about the tobacco process and at the end we will learn why Cuban tobacco is the best in the world!

This experience (Viñales inside) is more than a tour!!, Starting early in the morning to enjoy the first lights in the valley and thus be able to capture the best photos of our landscapes and their colorful contrasts, interacting with our people, farmers, local artists, small businesses that support the family economy and at the same time generate their own employment...each stop will be a moment to learn!...about agriculture, tradition and our Cuban customs...the vast majority of our residents know me !!...this will give you the opportunity to save unique moments, both in your camera and in your memories!

Join me for an unforgettable morning hike to a mountain top 400 meters above sea level, where you can witness the most amazing sunrise over the Valley of Aquatics. We will start in the center of Viñales and take a 10-minute taxi ride to the base of the mountain. From there, we will walk through the forest for 30-40 minutes to the house of the Acuático family, where we will enjoy a homemade and organic breakfast or coffee.

On the way, we will be surrounded by the brightest stars and moon and witness the beauty of the valley without any light pollution.

This is a free tour, a free paid tour in which you will put the price at the end of the tour based on the experience, so you can be sure that I am passionate about showing you the best that Viñales has to offer. Therefore, the taxi we use will be paid by you.

If you are in Viñales, I will be happy to pick you up by taxi from wherever you are. If you are in Havana and want to join the tour, I will be happy to help you arrange transportation and accommodation.

What you'll do:

We will leave the bustle of the town for a walk through El Valle del Silencio—the Valley of Silence. You will enjoy the exceptional beauty of the landscape, including birds and a great variety of flora.
We will take you to a small family farm, where you will take part in the family's lifestyle and traditions. We'll share with you typical activities—this may include the local coffee-making process, feeding animals, plowing soil, harvesting seasonal crops, or rolling a cigar to be smoked on the spot.
Tasting exquisite old-fashioned filtered coffee and a handmade cigar are some of the highlights of this experience.
Our day will end at a scenic viewpoint, where, with a refreshing cocktail, you'll be dazzled by the sight of the sun descending behind the haystack mountains.
