Visit the 11th century UNESCO World Heritage site Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis painted church, a former monastery where only the chapel survives. It's Eva's favourite village. She says,"the charm of the stone houses, the tranquillity and peace. It's as if it has sprung from a fairytale. I love dropping into one of the cafés and seeing locals have philosophical discussions, political arguments and a bit of gossip." To finish, there's a wine-tasting session, where you'll learn all about sweet commandaria wine – one of the oldest varieties in the world.

We will make a circular route through some of the most beautiful villages and sightseeing of the area. Rapid changes of terrain and scenery in relatively short distances throughout the route make it ideal to have a general view of the area which is located northwest of the city of Limassol and spreads throughout the southern slopes of Mount Troodos. The change in terrain and environment in the 9km distance to Platres is amazing! From there we will take a (5km) downhill trail leading to Pera Pedi village. We will divert for about 1km to visit Milomeris Waterfall and Milia Medieval Bridge. At an altitude of 800 m we will pass next to Pera Pedi Dam which is surrounded by the evergreen pine forest of the mountains. Pera Pedi is literally "drowned" in green and with one of the most pleasant and healthy climates of the island! We can enjoy the freshness of the village in the main square of the village (“Stathmos”) before we start the final (10km) part of our tour back to Omodos.

There's only one way to explore Cyprus's last wilderness – in a 4x4 vehicle. This off-road adventure will take you on a bumpy ride through the rugged Akamas peninsula.
