They say every city has two sides: the one everyone sees... and the one you only discover when you dare to walk it. On this Free Walking Tour of La Mariscal and La Floresta , organized by Kunakkuna Experiences , we invite you to open a secret door to the most creative, flavorful, and vibrant side of Quito. It's not just a stroll: it's a journey to see, taste, and experience the city like never before.
The journey begins among streets where murals seem to whisper stories in your ear, and color becomes a language. Between facades and corners, you'll recognize architectural gems that tell how Quito has grown and changed from the 20th century to today. And, when you least expect it, a small park or urban garden will open up before you, reminding you that nature still beats strongly amidst the asphalt.
But it's not all for the eyes... it's also for the palate. We'll stop at a space where the aroma of cacao will envelop you, and you'll experience a tasting of Ecuadorian chocolates made with fine aroma cacao, considered one of the finest in the world. A sweet gift to round off this experience with a flourish.
The route ends in the artistic heart of La Floresta , a neighborhood that doesn't say goodbye... but leaves you wanting to return.
