Please note that our free tours are designed for individual travelers and small private groups only. Hence, we do not accept parties of 8 or more people on regular free tours and guides have the right to deny participation to such groups. If you travel in a party of 8 or more please book a private tour in advance.
If you show up at the meeting point with the bigger group our guide will ask you for the payment (12 eur/person) before the tour or cancel your reservation on the spot. To confirm your reservation please arrive 10 minutes before starting. We can not guarantee participation when you will be late.
Please note that multiply bookings (under different names) for 7 people who belong to one group will still be treated as one organized group and the guide has the right to deny participation to such parties.

Our Golden Hour of Nice tour will start at Place Massena, the heart of the city where we will learn about Henri Massena, the convergence of the old and new town and the controversy of the Fountain du Soleil.
Making our way through Old Nice, we shall see the equally impressive Palace of Justice and hear about the infamous and fascinating “bank heist of the century” perpetrated by the criminally clever Albert Spaggiare and immortalised through the film “The Easy Way”.
From there we visit the Porte Fausse and former medieval slaughterhouse district of the old town and then move to place Rossetti and its baroque Cathedral of Sainte Reparate.
Making our way to past the medieval Jewish Ghetto to Rue Droite, once the high street of medieval Nice, we will pass by the incredible Genovese Baroque Palais Lascaris.
Next we will view an original cannonball from the 1543 Turkish/Franco siege of Nice and learn about Catherine Segurane, the heroine of Nice in this battle. We will then continue through the old town to the impressive Place Garibaldi and discover the importance of this location during the time when Nice was a walled fortress of a city and discuss the role Garibaldi played as a military leader in Nice as it became part of France in 1860.
From there you will have access to the best locations in Nice for happy hour drinks and or dinner and the tour will conclude, just minutes from the old town, port, lively rue Bonaparte and rue Catherine Segurane.
