Things to Do in Batumi
Tour duration is approximately 2-2.5 hours
During the walking tour, we will visit the new part of Batumi, which is full of modern buildings and landmarks, and then we will gradually move to the historical part of Batumi and end the tour with a visit to the old part of the city.
During the tour, I will briefly introduce you to the history of the city, tell you stories and rumors spread among the locals, talk about local culture, customs, the reality of today's Georgia, etc. You can ask any question and you can be sure that you will definitely hear the most sincere answer and recommendations from me, as a local and a person who is immensely in love with Batumi and all of Georgia ^_^
It starts with a question: What if Batumi could whisper its secrets to you?
Most travelers see the postcard version – the boulevard, the beach, the big clock tower. But what if I told you there’s a different Batumi? One full of stories, contrasts, and hidden corners only locals know?
On this walking tour, we’ll start where old meets new – in the heart of Batumi’s Old Town. As we wander through quiet alleyways and lively streets, I’ll show you the buildings that survived empires, the cafés where ideas sparked revolutions, and even a few secret rooftops with the best views in town (don’t tell anyone). We’ll explore:
- The twisting tales of Batumi’s Old Town architecture
- Local legends and the city’s Soviet-era secrets
- The best places for authentic khachapuri and coffee
- A surprise stop for those who love mystery and local magic
Our journey ends by the sea – at the Batumi Piazza, where music echoes, lights glow, and the city feels like a living painting. And if you're up for more, I’ll give you personal tips on what to do next, where to eat, and how to experience Batumi like a true local.
So, are you just visiting Batumi... or are you ready to feel it?
