How was it back then in the so-called "Hero City", what did people hope and expect, and how did Leipzig develop afterwards? What was life like here in the late 80s? How do the people of Leipzig live today? All of this will occupy us during the Leipzig 89 tour. Stops will include: Former Pretrial Detention Center of the State Security, Nikolaikirche, Gewandhaus, parts of the inner city ring, District Administration of State Security Important information: The tour takes place in German. Please register at least 24 hours before the planned tour start. Also note the information on Covid 19. If you want, bring a mouth and nose protection with you.
