The tour I offer is based on my 26 years of experience offering guided tours. I will visit my small town of La Antigua Guatemala on foot to learn more about its baroque style, the history of its churches, convents, public buildings and even museums. 😀

During the walking tour we will see the city with different roofs and terraces where we will be able to appreciate the 3 volcanoes and the beautiful surrounding landscapes. 😀

Our tour will begin at 9:00 am in Antigua Guatemala's central park. We will visit the royal palace, the city hall, then the cathedral, then the first university in Guatemala, then head to the Santa Clara Convent. We will then walk to learn about the history of Casa Popenoe and after a pleasant walk, we will visit the Jade Museum, where we will learn more about the mystical and profound Mayan culture of Guatemala. We will end in the central plaza. This is a historical tour where you will learn the history and the most fascinating facts about this beautiful city. During this incredible experience , get to know the colorful towns of Antigua Guatemala and visit the chocolate and wine workshop, where you will be given an explanation of how chocolate is made in the colorful city of San Juan del Obispo. You will also receive a tasting of different artisanal wines and cacao. In both places, it is necessary to leave a tip to help the artisans of these picturesque places and the growth of the community, to encourage them to continue and contribute to their economy. This is a historical tour in which you'll visit the most important monuments in the city of Antigua Guatemala, learning about its history, architecture, and other important facts.

You'll learn about the city's various foundings and relocations in the history of Santiago de Goathemala, important figures, and the various events that influenced it.

Its conservation process, the way it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, the interpretation of its architectural facades, and much more.

The tour is focused on history and architecture, aimed at anyone who truly enjoys history, architecture, and art history. *

My tour is geared toward an audience interested in the aforementioned topics. I'm specifying this here because some people don't like what I explain related to the above and leave me bad comments because they don't like the story. Therefore, please read carefully what it's about to avoid problems. Thank you.

It is not suitable for children under 12 years old since due to the type of tour they tend to get desperate very easily.

Only an exterior visit to the monuments is made and we do not enter the ruins.

- Punctuality
The tour starts at 9:30 AM. I ask for punctuality since arriving late delays the tour and the rest of the group. If you do not come by 9:30 AM, the tour will start out of respect for the group.



If you cannot come to the tour on time, it is better to cancel in advance so as not to delay the tour.

- No distractions to the group
During the tour we did not enter any shops, craft markets, bars, shops, ruins, or restaurants.

- Flexible tour payment
If you want to recognize my work as a professional and don't know how much to contribute, at least €10 per person is expected .

- Outfit
To enter some important religious sites, it is suggested to dress appropriately since low-cut tops and shorts are not allowed. It is recommended to remove glasses and hats when entering a religious site,

- Inappropriate behavior

Santa Catalina Arch. The most famous avenue in the city, where you can find various options for food, drink and nightlife, as well as several markets that showcase local crafts.


La Merced Church. This monument represents the city's art and architecture at its finest with a unique and unrepeatable design that shows the cultural clash of our country.

• Church of La Merced.

One of the most beautiful churches with an impressive façade, rich in details in plasterwork and stucco makes it one of the most visited.

• Santo Domingo House.

The old Dominican monastery takes us back in time and allows us to enjoy the present of this beautiful place today with all its details, from ornaments to oil paintings from different periods, some of them from the 18th century. Here we will visit the old part of the monastery with a beautiful open-air chapel.

At the end of the tour we will recommend places of interest according to the traveler , such as beautiful places with terraces to enjoy the variety of food that this place offers. A classic option to experience the daily life of Mayan and artisan villages around Antigua.

You begin with the pre-Hispanic town of Santa María de Jesús , located at the foot of the Agua Volcano. Its attractions include the open-air market held in the plaza, just as it was many centuries ago, and the ancient religious rituals and practices in its Mayan Catholic church.

We continued on our chicken bus to San Juan del Obispo to visit a very creative and artisanal town founded in 1545.
Chocolate, wines, wood and the Francisco Marroquín Palace will surprise you with its preservation, as will its 16th-century Church.


Our meeting point is the Pollo Campero Restaurant on Calzada Santa Lucia, next to the municipal market.
