The tour will end at the main road near Mederssa Attarine, leading to the Blue Gate or the post office via Talaa Kbira/Talaa Sghira.

I will provide an insight into the history of the city of Fes, which was founded in 808 (9th century) and was the first capital of Morocco under the Idrissid Dynasty, the Almoravid Dynasty, the Almohad Dynasty and the Merinid Dynasty.
As I walk around the city I will tell details about everything interesting. While visiting the monuments I will explain you the art decoration from history etc. Fes is really rich in history and monuments and handicrafts like the Blue Gate.
The 14th-century Attarine School , the world's first Islamic university founded by a woman , the 14th-century leather tannery, the founder's mausoleum, etc.
As you walk through the souk , I will explain to you about Moroccan gastronomy and various delicious tagines (pastilla, chicken with lemon, meat with prunes and almonds, as well as various pastries and sweets).
I will try to share with you my 30 years of experience in discovering this 9th century world heritage site.

We'll start our tour at the BAB MADINA hotel, one of the main entrances to the old medina. I'll be waiting for you there with a sign saying "Your GuruWalk guide" and your name so that you can easily recognise them.
Our adventure begins in Fez el-Bali, the largest pedestrianised urban area in the world. We'll explore narrow streets full of life, colour and tradition, from historic sites such as the Nejjarine Museum, Al Attarine Madrasa and Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, to bustling souks such as the Henna Souk and Al Attarine Street.
You can admire monuments such as the tanneries, the Andalusian mosque and the traditional Berber carpet shops, as well as enjoying the tranquil charm of places such as Place Seffarine, Talaa Kebira and the gardens of Jnan Sbil. Along the way, I'll share local anecdotes, historical information and practical tips on Moroccan life and culture.
📍Additional costs: Some optional monuments (such as museums and madrasas) may have a small entrance fee of around €2 per person. The guide will give you the option of entering and paying, or enjoying the explanation from the outside, whichever you prefer.
At the end of our tour, we will return to the same meeting point, offering you guidance and comfort.
