We will meet in front of the Tourism Office, and from there, looking at the castle, we will begin to discover the origin of our city. Then we will head to the Casa Carbonell, where you will learn about the reason for its construction and its most famous legend.
We will continue our walk to some of the most beautiful squares. Did you know that what is now Plaza Gabriel Miró was once an ancient cove?
Our tour will continue at the Co-Cathedral of San Nicolás. Besides learning about its history, you will decipher the origin of its graffiti.
Afterwards, we will visit the 18th-century Town Hall Square with its baroque columns to head to the oldest building in the city, where you will learn about some of its miracles.
At this point, we will say goodbye, but before that, we will give you tips and tricks to enjoy the city to the fullest.

You’ll see the Basilica of Santa María, the Central Market, and the lively port, but also wander up the hillside into the Santa Cruz quarter, the most picturesque area of Alicante. Its whitewashed houses, blue flowerpots and stunning views of the castle make the gentle climb worth every step — it’s here that Alicante shows its most authentic face. And hidden among its narrow streets, we’ll find the charming Blue Pots House — one of Alicante’s most photogenic and beloved spots. 💙
To end the experience, we’ll visit a family-run turrón (nougat) workshop, where this delicious tradition has been handmade for more than 140 years and six generations. There, you’ll enjoy a free tasting of artisan turrón and local liqueur, a perfect way to taste the essence of Alicante. 🍬

We will meet in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at the indicated time to begin our guided tour. We will take the opportunity to get to know this beautiful building and all the curiosities it hides. What sculptural wonder will it house inside?
We will reach the Explanada de España -a sign of identity for the people of Alicante- to submerge ourselves among the undulating mosaic of tesserae on its promenade, the sea breeze and its palm trees. How many do you think there are? We will take the opportunity to admire Casa Carbonel l and learn about the history it has to tell us.
We will go through the central square of Portal de Elche and then, that of Gabriel Miró , a romantic space where the sound of the water turns it into a haven of peace. Shall we continue? A lot of giant mushrooms are waiting for us on San Francisco street .
Walking the streets we will enter the Alicante afternoon, which is concentrated in Castaños street . In addition, in it we will find a combination of bourgeois facades, among which the Salvetti Palace stands out, a luxurious building converted into a hotel. What Spanish monarch would stay in his suites?
This visit would not be complete without talking about Alicante festivals and gastronomy , giving you a good excuse to return. In front of the Museo de las Hogueras we will share our best recommendations.

We will meet in front of the Town Hall , under the Clock Tower, to let ourselves be enveloped by the mysterious air that the buildings that stand out illuminated in the dark acquire.
A long time ago, at this very point where we are, an event as violent as it was strange happened that would change the history of the square forever. Come closer and we will tell you. Meanwhile, before our eyes, the bell of the Tower will protect us from possible curses .
Our steps will take us to the Plaza de la Santa Faz to talk about legends and miracles of this relic, but also about curious popular beliefs that surround it.
Our next story awaits us in the emblematic Basilica of Santa María. We will tell you about the myths that, for hundreds of years, have circulated about this ancient Alicante temple. But some religious buildings are not as enigmatic as the characters that inhabit them and, for this reason, we will introduce you to a mystical nun from Alicante who has remained uncorrupted in the city for more than 300 years.
Speaking of enigmatic things, have you ever noticed the curious profile that Mount Benacatil hides? Legend has it... that you cannot leave Alicante without knowing the tragic story behind its name. But the Castle houses more mysteries to tell and ghosts to meet.
We will once again wander through the narrow and picturesque corners of the city until we reach the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in the heart of the historic center, to discover dark stories from another time. Memories that are far away today but that connect us with the most unknown face of Alicante: spiritualism, crimes, diseases.
On our night walk, we will learn the stories of real people from Alicante history who lived (and died) in our city. After leaving Santa Cruz behind, we will continue towards the Market area, watching over the victims of one of the cruelest episodes in the city.
