We'll begin this free tour of Huelva next to Casa Colón, a former luxury hotel built thanks to the great mining boom experienced by the province at the end of the 19th century. Why did so many civilizations choose this city as their home? What traces have they left behind? Let's find out!
Strolling through the city center, we'll see palatial houses that are over a hundred years old , and we'll pause to visit a former 15th-century fisherman's home. We'll then head to the Gran Teatro and Plaza de las Monjas , a favorite meeting place for Huelva residents.
In the second part of the tour, we will visit the main church of San Pedro , the oldest in the city, where we will tell you about the origins of Huelva along with the recently excavated archaeological remains of the square.
Next stops? The Mora Claros Palace and the venerated Church of the Immaculate Conception , from where we'll head off for the final part of the tour. We'll continue exploring the streets of modern Huelva on the way to the Mercado del Carmen .
Two and a half hours later, we'll conclude the tour on the estuary promenade. You'll be enchanted by the views of the Odiel Marshes Natural Park and the Rio Tinto dock.
