The capital of the old kingdom of Navarra has stood proudly for centuries, and its streets hold secrets that only true Pamplonians know. Starting from the emblematic Plaza del Castillo, we will provide a brief historical introduction that will help us understand the visit afterwards, and we will provide you with radio guides for your comfort during the tour and to respect the neighbors. 

In this enjoyable visit, we will talk about history, the Sanfermines (From the local perspective: Essence, reason, feeling, far from the distorted image so widespread today), and the running of the bulls narrated by a regular runner of the Santo Domingo slope (photos attached in the tour description). We will contemplate vestiges still visible today that speak to us of battles and confrontations that forged the destiny and character of the city, such as the fortress church of San Saturnino, or part of the three ancient boroughs that, in the Middle Ages, divided and in neighborhood war for centuries, ended up uniting to form the current Pamplona. 

In several sections, we will follow the trail of the Camino de Santiago, we will stand in front of the Town Hall of Pamplona and vibrate with the narration of the Txupinazo that kicks off our festivities. We will also cover part of the running of the bulls route (Santo Domingo slope - Mercaderes Curve - Estafeta) where we will be thrilled listening to the tales of the race from the perspective of a runner, and we will step into the Navarrería, the oldest area of the city, where the Cathedral, which we will skirt, stands over the ancient Vascon settlement and the Roman forum. 

In the final stretch, we will talk about Vasconavarra mythology in the most beautiful and secluded corner of the city, and while walking along the northern wall, we will take the round path, over the Arga river, with a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the neighborhoods that encircle the center. 

In the shadow of the old palace of the Navarrese kings, and from the site where projectiles were launched with trebuchets and catapults, gastronomy will be the protagonist, and, if you behave well, of course, we will provide you at the end of the visit with an extensive list of establishments and recommendations where you can taste the local cuisine. (Pintxos, homemade menus, wine...).

PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY

We will take a leisurely tour lasting about two hours getting to know the most emblematic places that have shaped the history of Pamplona. We will walk through the Three Burgos of the old city starting from the Monument to the Encierro near the mythical Plaza del Castillo, where we will stop to explain the history of Pamplona, from the old Iruña to the present day. We will end at the wall, next to the Mesón del Caballo Blanco, very close to the Catedral.

 
Additionally, we will walk along the Camino de Santiago and the Encierro Route, the two main axes of Pamplona's layout and social life, without which it is impossible to understand the city. Moreover, we will stop at the only place where both routes meet, which is the heart of the Sanfermines and the city: the Town Hall square.

We will also visit the Plaza de San Francisco, the Cámara de Comptos, and the Churches of San Nicolás and San Saturnino, next to the well where San Fermín was baptized. Throughout the tour, we will enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town which at that time is bustling like few other cities.

El Free Tour en Pamplona es la mejor manera de conocer la cultura y la historia de la que, antaño, fue la capital de un glorioso reino, absorbido por las poderosas potencias aledañas de Castilla, Aragón y Francia. 

Quedaremos a la hora establecida en la Plaza de la Constitución, junto a la Ciudadela de Pamplona, una de las obras de ingeniería militar renacentista mejor conservadas de Europa. Nos adentraremos en el casco antiguo por el Paseo Sarasate, el paseo de los antiguos reyes, hasta llegar a la Plaza del Castillo, corazón de la ciudad pamplonica. 

También conoceremos el Ayuntamiento de Pamplona, lugar donde se celebra el anual “txupinazo” de las fiestas patronales de San Fermín y su emblemática plaza. ¿Sabías que ahí se firmó la unión de todo un reino? 

A continuación, visitaremos la Iglesia de San Saturnino y pasaremos por una pequeña callejuela donde, aún hoy, se encuentra… ¡munición de catapulta! 

Tras esto, subiremos por la antigua muralla defensiva para visitar la Puerta de Zumalacárregui y el Caballo Blanco, uno de los miradores con las panorámicas más bellas de Iruña, hasta llegar a la catedral y a la pastelería Beatriz, donde hablaremos sobre la gastronomía típica. 

Tras dos horas y media, nos adentraremos en la emblemática calle Estafeta para finalizar el recorrido en la Plaza de Toros.

You've probably seen the San Fermín running of the bulls on television before, right? That speed, that adrenaline,...

 Well, with this visit we want to show you the entire route of the running of the bulls, and tell you everything you need to know to be an expert on the subject.

 Origins, history, mythical bull runs, gorings, ... We will see the Gas corrals and then make the complete tour of these barely 800 meters, stopping at Corrales de Santo Domingo, Cuesta de Santo Domingo, City Hall, Mercaderes, Estafeta, Curva de Telefónica and the famous access alley to the Bullring.

Sancha, una niña del pasado, está sumida en una búsqueda imposible: encontrar su lugar de la inocencia, donde había quedado con sus amigos. Perdida por las calles de la ciudad, necesita vuestra ayuda. Acompañamos a Sancha por las murallas de Pamplona para cumplir su cometido: llegar a tiempo antes de que el juego se acabe.  

Para conseguir el objetivo, caminaremos por los parques de la Taconera, acompañados de personajes como Martinico, llegaremos a la plaza de la O, lugar de ajusticiamientos e historias que te harán querer seguir con el recorrido. Flanqueando el río Arga, repasaremos los crímenes del pasado, presente e inclusive futuro...

Transitando por las murallas en compañía de extraños seres como las lamias, el Basajaun o Teodosio de Goñi llegaremos al Museo de Navarra, descubriendo así al fantasma más famoso de la ciudad. Llegaremos hasta el Archivo General, donde nos contarán las anécdotas de los héroes míticos de esta tierra, conociendo así a Roldán o Sugaar.

Visitaremos la puerta de Zumalacárregui, donde empezó todo bajo el recuerdo y los ecos de las brujas de Zugarramurdi.

Culminaremos el recorrido en la Plaza de San José, junto a la Catedral de Santa María, en la cual podremos absolver nuestros pecados bajo la sombra de Carlos III el Noble, participando así en un auténtico akelarre bajo la luz de la luna rodeados de silencio y oscuridad, dejándonos llevar por Sancha hasta lo más primitivo de toda persona: la infancia.
