Our guides use the weather & northern lights (aurora borealis) forecast to predict the best locations to have the highest probability to see northern lights. Northern lights is a natural phenomenon and changes constantly the same as the wild nature. Our guides do everything in their power to guide you to northern lights but sometimes it´s not possible due to weather conditions. If you are a photographer you are in good hands as we always try to find good spots for photography. Tripod is needed to photograph Northern lights as you need long shuttertime. We make a short introduction of the tour and how it works. Then buckle up and the hunt for the Northern lights has began for the night. Always small groups of maximum 7 people invites to a genuine experience to remember for a long time.

From Kiruna, we’ll drive to Jukkasjärvi, one of the oldest villages in the region and an important historical center for the Sámi people. We’ll visit its beautiful wooden church, one of the oldest in northern Sweden, and learn about the traditions that have shaped life in the Arctic. Next, we’ll visit a Sámi reindeer camp, where you’ll get the chance to feed the reindeer and listen to stories about the Sámi way of life, their deep connection with nature, and their ancestral culture. We will pick you up from your hotel in Kiruna and drive to the starting point of your snowmobile adventure on the frozen Torne River. We visit the famous Abisko National Park. We have a short hike close to the Abisko canyon with the clear and fresh water coming from the mountains. If the chair lift is open and the weather is nice we take a ride with it to the top of the Nuolja Mountain. There we have an incomparable view over the lake Torneträsk and the beautiful mountains in the area.

During the trip, you will enjoy the stunning views of Abisko Village, Lake Torneträsk, and Lapporten. We’ll visit the impressive Abisko Canyon and admire the Silver Waterfall, which transforms into a frozen spectacle during the winter months. Snowless dog driving! Why limit the fun to when we have snow when you can try driving dogs with a cart in the autumn! We offer a sit and drive combo tour by cart. You get to try both sitting on a cart and driving the cart together with a friend or partner. You can help to harness the dogs before we head out. We are out driving in our forest trails for approx 45 min. After returning you can help feed them and unharness them before returning them to their yards. We also have a cup of tea and coffee by the fire and a cinnamon roll. Of course no tour would be complete without a kennel visit and meeting the next generation...

Kiruna is located in an ideal position in Lapland to view the northern lights. During winter we have long dark nights and even 6 weeks without a sunrise! The first step to chasing the aurora is to get away from the city light pollution and that's exactly what we do on this tour. Our skilled guides will study the aurora and weather forecast to find the best locations based on their prior knowledge of the area, and then off we go! In our minivan, we will drive up to 125km away from the city if necessary to chase the aurora out in the arctic wilderness. There are many different locations we can visit depending on the forecast, one of which is the beautiful Abisko National Park area. Of course, it is up to mother nature where the chase will take us, but our guides will do their best to help you search for this incredible natural phenomenon
