We will pick you up from your hotel in Kiruna and drive to the starting point of your snowmobile adventure on the frozen Torne River. From here, we’ll head out with a small group — just four snowmobiles and your guide — giving us the freedom to travel further and explore remote corners of Swedish Lapland that few visitors ever see. Snowmobiles can take us to places inaccessible by any other vehicle. You can choose to drive your own snowmobile or share one with another participant. We will stop at spectacular location to take photos, and enjoy warm drinks and traditional Swedish snacks. Our guides do everything in their power to guide you to northern lights but sometimes it´s not possible due to weather conditions. If you are a photographer you are in good hands as we always try to find good spots for photography. Tripod is needed to photograph Northern lights as you need long shuttertime. We make a short introduction of the tour and how it works. Then buckle up and the hunt for the Northern lights has began for the night. Always small groups of maximum 7 people invites to a genuine experience to remember for a long time.

We visit the famous Abisko National Park. We have a short hike close to the Abisko canyon with the clear and fresh water coming from the mountains. If the chair lift is open and the weather is nice we take a ride with it to the top of the Nuolja Mountain. There we have an incomparable view over the lake Torneträsk and the beautiful mountains in the area.

Snowless dog driving! Why limit the fun to when we have snow when you can try driving dogs with a cart in the autumn! We offer a sit and drive combo tour by cart. You get to try both sitting on a cart and driving the cart together with a friend or partner. You can help to harness the dogs before we head out. We are out driving in our forest trails for approx 45 min. After returning you can help feed them and unharness them before returning them to their yards. We also have a cup of tea and coffee by the fire and a cinnamon roll. Of course no tour would be complete without a kennel visit and meeting the next generation...

Lights of Vikings have a really high success rate in finding clear sky which is one of the most important criteria to see the Northern Lights. Our concept is famous for driving long distances if necessary! Wherever we go during the tour, we will tell you many stories about the northern lights and Vikings. After finding clear sky, we’ll admire the northern lights and we will take pictures which we’ll send to you within 3 days after the tour. If you bring your own camera, we will help you set it up to get the best shots. As the northern lights dance in the sky we will serve hot drinks and make a camp fire for you to keep warm. The first step to chasing the aurora is to get away from the city light pollution and that's exactly what we do on this tour. Our skilled guides will study the aurora and weather forecast to find the best locations based on their prior knowledge of the area, and then off we go! In our minivan, we will drive up to 125km away from the city if necessary to chase the aurora out in the arctic wilderness. There are many different locations we can visit depending on the forecast, one of which is the beautiful Abisko National Park area. Of course, it is up to mother nature where the chase will take us, but our guides will do their best to help you search for this incredible natural phenomenon

During a Snowdog Aurora Tour, our guides will try and take you to the quitest locations with less people, lending to a more unique and personal experience. You may also have the opportunity to meet some of our 70 Huskies if we decide that our base camp is the optimum location to view the Aurora Borealis. If we have a nice Aurora we will also take photographs and send you a link to our cloud drive approx 3 days later where you can download the images for free. We will also have some Sami inspired sandwiches and some warm beverages for you to enjoy.

Embark on an thrilling adventure and drive a snowmobile through the stunning winter landscapes of Northern Sweden! You will gear up in warm overalls, gloves, snow boots and hats, to make sure that the freezing temperatures are just another part of your winter adventure. The tour will begin with some careful introduction, where we will teach you how to use the snowmobile. Accompanied by a guide, you will start with some practice laps around the frozen Altajärvi Lake, only to soon drive through snow-capped forests of the Swedish Lapland. If you choose to share a snowmobile with another person, you will now change the driver and continue back to Camp Alta as a passenger, taking a bit of a different path. From time to time you’ll be able to speed up a little and feel the thrill of the ride, as well as stop and play in the snow in the middle of the forest. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, such as reindeer and moose, as we may see them on the way!
