This isn’t a history lecture or a deep dive into Swiss culture, or church traditions —I’ll be honest: What I do know is how to see beauty through a lens. This program is all about photography — capturing light, mood, and moments that speak for themselves. If you’re here for storytelling through images you’re in the right place. If you’re after an expert historian or lecturer probably best to check the next listing!

On this tour through the old town, along the Limmat and in the university quarter, you will get to know the oldest and tiniest street art in Zurich.
Behind these works of art is Harald Nägeli aka the Sprayer of Zurich, who practised civil disobedience from 1977 onwards and lived his vision of ‘art for all’ publicly on the streets and corners of Zurich.
In contrast, we get to know the rather young street artist Ben Wilson aka Chewing Gum Man from London, who immortalises his artworks on the inner-city eyesores of the Western consumer world: his canvases are petrified chewing gums on asphalt.
Zurich is a dynamic, vibrant, and creative city. This tour will not cover the Old Town and Bahnhofstrasse - you can easily explore those on your own. Instead, we will visit the trendy districts like the Langstrasse district and Zürich-West, focusing on the developments and changes they have undergone over the past twenty years. The route leads 6 kilometres through former working-class and industrial neighborhoods, which are now popular spots for foodies and nightlife enthusiasts - resulting in both positive and negative consequences for the affected areas. We will specifically examine these at various selected locations.
