Starting from Piazza San Francesco, from the Zone of Silence, guardian of Dante's Tomb, and passing through Piazza del Popolo you can enter the heart of the historic center of Ravenna to learn more about what characterized a great past without neglecting its curiosities. An opportunity to discover the vicissitudes that characterized the last years of the Supreme Poet, exile, life in the city, death and the daring fight for the remains, as well as the interventions to enhance the tomb over the centuries.

A visit to the city's Art Museum, thanks to its temporary and permanent exhibitions, allows you to delve deeper into the art of mosaic of which the early Christian monuments in Ravenna are just the starting point. When possible, the tour will start from the temporary exhibition in progress and will always continue with the permanent exhibition dedicated to Modern and Contemporary mosaics. This collection traces the development of the mosaic technique from the second decade of the twentieth century to today, involving artists such as Chagall, Guttuso, Afro, Mathieu, Santomaso and Vedova. From 14 October 2023 to 14 January 2024 the tour includes a visit to the temporary exhibition "Burri Ravenna Oro".
