This workshop utilises only locally grown bamboo, to create unique souvenirs that can be customised with decorations or a message of your choice. Due to the short time required for this activity, why not combine it with one of our Japanese calligraphy classes?

This calligraphy workshop focuses on creating text related to the surrounding hot spring region of Beppu. Participants can learn how to write words such as '温泉' - 'onsen' (meaning 'hot spring') and '地獄' - 'jigoku' (meaning 'hell'), under the guidance of a friendly local instructor. As well as being able to take your one-of-a-kind masterpiece home with you, this is also a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the charm of traditional Japanese culture, learning not only technique but also Japanese calligraphy etiquette.

Immerse yourself in a traditional Japanese atmosphere in this authentic tea ceremony workshop, held in a century-old house. Taking place in a Japanese style room with traditional 'tatami' flooring, you'll get a real sense of Japanese ambience, under the guidance of a local tea ceremony expert dressed in 'kimono'. You will have the opportunity to learn the etiquette and rules of the tea ceremony, as well as to drink the tea you prepare - complemented by a local snack.

'Dango noodle soup' is made by kneading wheat flour (or rice flour) with water, letting it rest for a while, then stretching and tearing the dough by hand before adding it to the soup. It's a hearty, wholesome dish made with local, seasonal vegetables such as 'taro' potato and burdock, then seasoned with miso or soy sauce. This is the only cooking class available in Beppu hosted within a century-old Japanese house - a truly 'local' experience!

We will meet up area of Beppu Oita prefecture. There are downtown new culture place. Definitely you will love this town. We can stay in ocean view house and make you relax and going to music journey. Sound bath! We have experience 18 years zen meditation and will guide you on how to do comfortable meditation. You can get coffee or tea! If you have time, you can adventure this area after session. There are many places to eat and drink cheap Japanese food! Even beautiful shrine as well! Normally we start from 12:00!!but you can adjust!!

Courses can be flexibly changed to suit each group of you, depending on your hobbies and age. We will also guide you to restaurants that only locals know about, such as steamed dishes, sushi, seafood, and other dishes that suit your taste. Vegetarians do not need to worry, as we will use vegan-friendly restaurants. First, walk through the sea hell You will see the natural blue hot springs and enjoy the Japanese garden.
