Once the endless forests of the Prahova Fence had the reputation of being “The Nest of Bandits” . Over time it came to have the nickname “The Cradle of the Romanian Dynasty”. Today it is “ The Pearl of the Carpathians” a place worth seeing at least once in your life .

Until the end of the 17th century, until the construction of the Sinaia Monastery , few dared to travel through this land. Two centuries later, attracted by this wild beauty, the first king of Romania, Carol I, decided to build his summer residence here, Peles Castle . Since then, in a short time the place became the favorite place of the Elite, and the small town was filled with luxurious houses, hotels, restaurants, shops and a Casino . At the end of the 19th century, Sinaia already had the nickname “The summer capital of Romania” or “Little Versailles”.
