With its natural wonders, Fuerteventura is worth discovering "up close": going into the caves, climbing the peaks and walking on the slopes of the volcanoes is the best way to learn about and experience the island. You can choose between 3 different excursions, of an easy-medium level and a length of 7, 10 and 15 km of walking. To these is added another half-day excursion to discover the volcanic area and with the perimeter of a volcano with a circumference of 1 km, the Calderon Hondo. Round-trip transfer from the hotel and a picnic consisting of fruit, dried fruit, water and chocolate are included. It is advisable to wear trekking shoes, sports clothing, a hat, a windproof jacket.

If you're itching to explore another of the Canary Islands while you're in Fuerteventura, then this easy trip to Lanzarote will see you hopping there and back in a day. You'll catch the ferry over from Corralejo and dock in Playa Blanca, where it's up to you how you spend your time until the return ferry late in the afternoon.The ferry will leave mid-morning for a quick 45-minute crossing to the volcanic lands of Lanzarote. Once you've stepped on to its shores, you'll have about five hours to explore, see and do as you wish. Playa Blanca's got a whole host of shops, bars and seafood restaurants lining the promenade, which are perfect for a spot of lunch.There are also three beaches – two of which are Blue Flag winners, so you're guaranteed great sunbathing conditions. Alternatively, head out of town to see Los Hervideros, a string of wind and wave-battered volcanic cliffs, and one of Lanzarote's top attractions. Catch the ferry back in the late afternoon, and you'll be in Corralejo in time for a pre-dinner cocktail.

The volcanic landscapes of Fuerteventura's mountainous interior are scaled from the seemingly endless coastline is this late afternoon off-road safari to Cofete. Juan Carlos, one of our local guides, says, ‘Cofete was so removed from civilisation that it spawned a wartime spy mystery – and countless novels – centred on the enigmatic Villa Winter. Was it a transmission centre for U-boats? A hideout for secret agents? A ratline staging post? A venue for hedonistic parties? The legend only grows with each passing year.'You'll first head into Fuerteventura's central mountains, where cloud-wreathed slopes plunge down to endless, deserted beaches. The most eye-catching is Cofete beach, which clocks in at almost 14km. The spray from waves creates an almost ever-present haze over the shoreline. Heading off-road onto hairpin tracks, you'll bump around the Mars-like landscapes around Pico de la Zarza, one of the island's highest volcanic peaks. Here, you'll enjoy panoramic views over the buffeted west coast before dropping down to Cofete, a ramshackle hamlet.This mostly abandoned village is home to the mysterious Villa Winter, which is rumoured to have been a Nazi hideout after World War II. Next, it's off to Punta de Jandia at Fuerteventura's southern tip. Hopefully, you can enjoy a sunset over the lighthouse and Atlantic, before a meal and glass of wine at one of the few restaurants found in this remote part of the island. You'll then wind your way back to your hotel under the starlit sky.

In a group of a maximum of 8 people we drive together to the most untouched and wildest areas of the island. A small road leads us through the Jandias Nature Park and over one of the highest mountains on the island from which you can enjoy what is perhaps the most beautiful view of the island. From there we reach the mysterious villa via a mountain pass Winter. Our next stop is the "Playa de Cofete". A fantastically beautiful yet natural beach. There's a fast and convenient way to hop over to Lanzarote for the day. Choose between either the Fred Olsen Bocaina fast ferry, which takes roughly 25-minutes or the Fred Olsen Buganvilla ferry, which takes roughly 35. With a good selection of crossings every day, you'll be able to comfortably spend the day on a different Canary island under your own steam.

The basic course is aimed at all those who have never tried before and at the same time for those who have already had a very short experience of a few days and want to improve the bases necessary to move to the next level. The requirements are: being in good general health, knowing how to swim and a minimum age of 6 years. The aim of the course is to surf the first foam waves independently and safely and to learn basic theoretical and practical knowledge such as positioning on the board, paddling, take-off, weather-marine knowledge, how to overcome the waves, how to spin on foams, weight management and more! Within this course, we follow small groups of up to 6 students for each instructor so that all students can be followed with the utmost care and in complete safety. The course lasts about 4 hours, including transport times, and the practical part in the water will be about 1.5 / 2 hours.

The calm, warm waters of Fuerteventura are home to many amazing creatures, and you'll get to go in search of dolphins on this two-hour cruise. See them in their natural habitat - and because of abundant food and highly oxygenated currents, they come here to spend their days frolicking and playing.
